In this video, we dry pack dried apple chips in 2 gallon plastic buckets with 300 cc oxygen absorbers. It did well, the buckets are small enough to handle and easy to store. A 5 gallon bucket can get quite heavy, the 2 gallon buckets are GRRRRREAT! One of my new favorites!

  1. I didn't think there were any buckets that would hold a vacuum seal. Is it a special type of bucket?
Thanks for the vid, I'm going through them

  2. @adamesmercedes112 good morning !…yes they are a great size for me…..i'll pack some of the rice and beans in them……

  3. @adamesmercedes112 hey!….yes. i like the size, look at the big box stores and do some price shopping, also, look at us plastic online, they have them as well, just watch for shipping prices…they maybe high some times…..steve

  4. GREAT VIDEO I must go buy those 2 gal buckets they really are a perfect size…..God Bless

  5. great video I must go buy those 2 gal buckets they really are a perfect size. THANKS AGAIN….

  6. @03DexterHauler Hey Dex, they are not real thin, i think i put 4 O2's in one and it took the side in a little, but the other buckets i used 3 O2's and they seem to do well. I love the sales buy one get one, but at this time i do not have the extra time to dehydrate, and besides the wife bought them, they taste even better 🙂 thanks for watching !

  7. @bopper2012 Hey BOPPER!….yes they are dehydrated apples…..professionally done (not like mine LOL!)…and can be re-hydrated like anything else. These are NOT fried, and they are really good ! we picked them up at a LDS cannery. I can get you the name off the box if you need it, but they are a normal stock item from LDS, are they are in good size pieces, not small chips. Thanks for watching!

  8. @technician775 won't beat you up, just not watch.

  9. @technician775 I will start packing more food in them. I guess i will need to find a mylar bag to use as well. I will get beat up if i don't LOL !!!!! as always THANKS FOR WATCHING!!!!!

  10. @hiyasweets Hi Ya Sweets!!!!!!!.. me either until i remembered i had a couple of them and did not want to use a big 5 gallon bucket for this type of food. I remember seeing them at Lowes.

  11. I really enjoyed this video I never thought of the smaller buckets.

  12. @WOLVERINEprepper Thanks for watching….and i like the two gallon buckets, they are easy to handle and store. I guess i will need to find a mylar bag for them……thanks again….

  13. @TheBonniebeme thnanks for the tip, i will keep an eye on them…

  14. @TheBonniebeme Hi, thanks for watching and the great tip, I don't think the chips will last that long before we eat them all. I am sure we will get at least 3 years out of them.

  15. @TheBonniebeme and the plastic will eventually let air in.

  16. Buckets without mylar will cause it to deteriorate at a quicker rate. Not the best choice for storage for such an expensive item. Mason jars would be a better choice.

  17. GOOD STUFF. I like the 2 gallon bucket idea. Keep up the videos and thanks.
