  1. Dave, those oak-like bushes/mini-trees are called scrub-oak (either Gambel Oak or Sonoran Scrub Oak).  I'm not sure what day you shot this, but April 15th is an average time for things to start budding in Colorado Springs. A few things like dandelions will show up a few weeks earlier than that.

  2. Thank you for this video! I enjoyed it very much! Super eager to visit Garden of the Gods at the end of this month. I can't wait to experience this sight for myself. It's gorgeous!

  3. Guys, play the song "the rim of battle mountain" while going here, this is perfect.

  4. Hey Dave, good to see the Kissing camels above your wifes head at 2:00 again. It's been a few years for me.  You can really see it great from the other side of the mountain. I remember seeing someone climbing the rock formation at 2:10 to your wife's left.  Thanx for showing. Peace out.

  5. lol, yep. Truly a beautiful place! Hope to go again some day.

  6. Mother Nature and the Great Spirit got together and created a wonder of wonders…My ancestors the Comanche wandered and lived in the area. Their spirits are still resonating there to this day… Put your hands on the land, tell Mother Nature you love her, she will return the energy to you…:)

  7. YES! 🙂 I figured it was an oak of some sort, but thank you so much for letting me know exactly what kind. It's been driving me nuts! 🙂

  8. They indeed are! Can't wait to see them again. 🙂

  9. Stationed in Colorado for over 2 years I have been all over garden of the gods and even some restricted areas the mountains and canyons behind the garden that tower the garden are awsome

  10. 6,000 feet?! Where I live I'm below sea level! Man I would die up there if I tried jogging Haha

  11. LOL! Actually, MEDDAC Fort Carson, Colorado 8>) …. ("close enough for government work" as the saying goes)…
