In the cold weather I do a preemptive action of trying to not get cold by wearing enough proper clothing to keep me warm.  I find if I am chilled going to bed that I have a hard time achieving a restful sleep. It will happen eventually but it is easier to go to bed without that issue.  I will also put on my extra clothes earlier if I can so I am not putting on say long underwear bottoms when it is really cold at night.
